One of Beth’s hopes is to bring the healing and empowering aspects of yoga practices to more people – despite limitations or pain and to offer alternative practices of healing that will compliment traditional western methods. Yoga is for everyone! Her yoga classes provide a yoga experience for an underserved population and her advanced classes offer an ever-growing depth for the continuing student. Whether in a chair, or on a yoga mat Beth teaches a blended style of yoga that is an exploration of inner goodness through breath and body using anatomical principles of alignment and balanced action in all poses and yoga therapy techniques.
How it all began....
Beth Rutty has always had a passion for life. In 2004, following a 17 year stint as a Fitness Instructor she graduated from the incredible (500 hour) Teacher Training program at The Yoga Centre of Burlington and continues to learn every day she has the opportunity to teach there.
In 2003 she completed a 4 day, 24 hour teacher training with Francois Raoult and in the Fall of 2004 travelled to Colorado to study with the amazing David Swenson, Rodney Yee and Roger Cole among others. In the Spring of 2006 she completed a 5 day teacher training with Paul Grilley on yoga of the bones and joints, which has resulted in a more compassionate approach to her students. Beth is an ERYT500 member of Yoga Alliance.
